Saturday’s Snickety Tip #1

Snickety Tip #1: How to make a home-made facial exfoliant

When you’re in a financial bind or just in a hurry and need a fresh face just grab some baking soda! Yep, baking soda. It’s super gentle on delicate skin and feels great. Just put a small amount in the palm of your hand, add water drop by drop until it’s a paste, then gently rub on face in upward circular motions. Rinse and feel awesome about your gently cleaned, glowing skin!

Note: Do not use this baking soda on the skin too often. While it is a gentle exfoliant, it has an alkaline PH which, can strip your skin of its natural oils. It is great when you need something quick and easy. However, it is best to invest in a quality facial exfoliant for regular exfoliating. To learn about why an alkaline PH isn’t great for regular use on the skin, read our blog post about soap suds which, explains PH levels.
